No. The fix is currently planned for January CU.

Between April and November are several changes and there were also some regressions introduced which are not yet fixed.
In addition regressions are often reported several months after a fix was released. So it is impossible to give a definite answer here.
For this reason we recommend to verify the each CU in a test environment which resembles the production environment and test your specific scenarios before applying them on production.

What is the build number for SP 2013 Dec CU? Similar to the way you report on SP 2016:
SharePoint 2016 December 2019 CU Build Numbers:
Language independent fix: 16.0.4939.1000
Language dependent fix: 16.0.4939.1000

Hi Mike,
SP2016 consists only of 2 packages (the language dependent and the language independent) – so it is easy to provide the build number for each.
SP2013 consists of 30+ packages – where each can have a different build number. Collecting this info for each CU is not trivial and would potentially be error prone.
So I decided not to do it.

you would have thought microsoft would have been eager to fix a issue they caused! 🙂

Hi Matt,
of course – but please understand that proper testing of code changes is required to ship a fix.
The cut of date for fixes going into a CU is 4 weeks before the CU to allow complete testing of the CU.
The issue was introduce with October CU and reported first around a week after the release through a support case.
Reproducing the issue, isolating it as a problem in the CU, involving the product group to request a hotfix, identifying the root cause and a possible and stable fix and performing the necessary tests was not possible in the short timeframe before the cut of date for December CU.
Cheers,
Stefan

Hi Stefan,
I have installed both December CU for SharePoint server 2016. Everything ran successfully, but the configuration database version number is “16.0.4936.1000” while in the upgrade status it shows “16.0.4939.1000” How can I fix it. I tried to clear the SP cache to rerun the configuration wizard PowerShell but nothing has fixed it

Hi Stefan,
Microsoft Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures were not added in this release to learn about the vulnerability.

Hi Shaikha,
this is not the configuration database version. This is the configuration database SCHEMA version.
The last time the schema was changed was with version 16.0.4936.1000. We never guarantee that the database schema version is identical to the version of the patch and you should not use this number as an indicator that a patch was installed correctly.

Does this patch also contain the regression (from October 2019) that broke calendar overlays?
